Hospital Transport 0300 123 2303
A vital part of the work of North Wales Ambulance Service involves transporting people to and from their medical appointments at clinics, hospitals and day centres. Highly trained crews use a modern fleet of vehicles and work alongside the hospitals to ensure that we get you to your appointment as comfortably as possible. The range of vehicles we have mean that we can convey a wide-range of patients including those who need stretchers, patients who use wheel-chairs and patients who have a limited walking mobility.
In order to make a booking for transport, please contact us by telephone on 0300 123 2303, Monday to Friday 08.00 – 18.00. You can book up to two weeks prior to your appointment but must give at least two working days notice.
When you contact us for transport you will be asked a series of questions that will determine whether you are eligible for transport. Eligibility is based upon medical criteria which has been agreed nationally by Welsh Government. If you qualify for non-emergency patient transport, staff will arrange the transport for you. If you are not eligible for transport, you will be offered alternative contact numbers for organisations that may be able to assist you.

WAPM Community Transport Scheme 07423 503 836
The community transport scheme is run and operated by WAPM for the residents of Plas Madoc and South Wrexham Communities. The scheme uses an electric Nissan Leaf and one wheelchair accessible vehicle.
These vehicles take residents to hospital and doctors' appointments, job interviews, shopping trips or just to visit family and friends. WAPM aims to provide residents with access to affordable local transport and fill the gaps often left by public transport so people can become more mobile and active in their community and less isolated.
To use the service you will need to become a member and pay an annual fee of £15 per year, journeys are then costed per mile and quotations available on request.
